This is a working draft. Have it reviewed before a store listing or other public reliance.
The game
getTilted is a free-to-play arcade game published by Cairnville Industries. You fly through gaps to score points. Support is [email protected].
Push notifications
After a finished run, the game calls cairnville.com with the player’s Firebase sign-in. The site reads that player’s record in Firebase: device tokens, whether notifications are on, the best score on that store, and the current number 1 score for that store. It sends a push through Firebase Cloud Messaging when a friend was just passed, or when this run takes the number 1 spot from someone else.
Once a day, the site sends one reminder to a player who has not finished a run for 3 days and still has notifications on.
A message to everyone who allowed notifications goes to a shared topic. The game does not make that call.
The site does not take a raw device token from the caller. Tokens live on the player record in Firebase.
When the notification log is on, the site also stores a short record of each decision: the time, who it was for, and who passed them. The log is on unless loggingEnabled is set to false on the notifications config. Device tokens are not copied into that record.
What this page covers
getTilted signs in with Game Center or Play Games when that is available, and stores progress in Firebase. It shows ads through Google AdMob unless ads have been removed. Leaderboards and friends are the store’s own boards. The push section above is how cairnville.com sends notifications for this game.
